Linksy wmp54g wireless card

I did a dual boot on my system with no problems installing xp on one beta 2 on another partion the problem is that trying to connect to my network it has installed the driver , will not let you install the software connection works great on xp using a westell dsl wireless router. can any help out?

I upgraded an IBM T22 from XP to VISTA. During install VISTA asked me for the drivers to the G630 wireless card (pcmcia). I had a bear of a time getting the setting correct to actually connect. But after wrangling through many screens of setting in network control panel, it finally works.
What software are you trying to install? The driver or a wireless connection manager? You should be able to let windows manage the connection.
Go to the 'network center' in control panel. From there you can see what connections Vista is trying to make. YOu might just need to give Vista some guidance on what connects to where.
One
thing I think I did was to tell Vista to "merge" two internet connections. One was for the wired and one for the woreless. That was something I did shortly before the connection started working.
